Where the hell is Santa? He was supposed to drop off all the hot new consumer goods; straight from China. I guess I shouldn't have thrown out last year's stuff and taken out that second mortgage on the house.....
Until next year. Thanks Everyone!
-----------------
12/22/2007 10:11AM
If you missed the show at Blakes, I put a clip up on youtube. There will be more to come in the new year. Twas a blast. Santa came, gave gifts, moshed. You know, the usual xmas crap.

12/6/2007 4:57PM
Well the new album is finally up on Itunes and Interpunk has plenty in stock too.

12/3/2007 10:22PM
I've been a big fan of Cockeyed.com for some time now and I was happy to see Rob has put together a compendum of christmas light applications called "Eighty-Five Ways to Decorate your house with Christmas lights". Enjoy. My favorite is #29.

CDs arrived today! Interpunk will have them monday. Emusic now has Discomfort and Joy available.
-----------------
11/28/2007 2:46PM
Interpunk is taking pre-orders for Discomfort and Joy (to the right to the right). They'll have CD's on hand early next week. Order here. They also have 1225 and Sack in stock.

11/27/2007 11:54AM
I was just over at pandora.com and noticed how many people have bookmarked us or subscribed to Jingle Punx radio there. For those who don't know Pandora, take a second and try it out. The quality of the streams is really good and most of all it's really good at introducting you to bands you've never heard of; like the Jingle Punx.
-----------------
11/26/2007 11:49AM
I failed to point out that you can also see the track listing for Discomfort and Joy over here.
-----------------
11/23/2007 8:05PM
Discomfort and Joy, our new album, is up on Napster and others are soon to follow! There are preview clips there, but they sound kinda junky. I found this t-shirt for the holiday season.

We here at JIngle PuNx HQ would like you to know that we feel very strongly about the advancement of Christmas on our beloved Labor Day. Because of our feelings, and because we are lazy bastards, our album will not be available until a week after Turkey Day. We stronly beleive in the sanctity of Labor Day and are sure that those who choose to endager it with christmas shopping and merriment, will assuredly go to hell. They will got to hell AND die.
-----------------
11/16/2007 9:01AM
The album is done....we are waiting for it. It should be here next week! CD's will be at Interpunk. Yep, the punx are a little late this year. I'll post as the downloads become available.

Nip Tuck, "Joy Kringle" ep.,

WRST FM xmas radio show,
Spare the Rock...Valley free radio,
oodles of blogs and streams.....,

The new album is nearly mixed! This is the first time the news was updated in 6 months - 3 days !!!! If we could only top "A Peter Griffin Christmas"
-----------------
3/16/2007 2:33PM
Welllll. We post a lot of news. ya.
Somebody is trying to cash in on the throbbing success of the Jingle Punx. Tis an open market. Which means you could also buy Sack at interpunk. :b Who'd have thought there would be a secondary market for a seasonally oriented, small release, punk band made up of workaday lads.
-----------------
1/4/2007 9:51AM
I see that we've been linked to on Weird Al's site!!!
-----------------
1/3/2007 1:33PM
We got some play, a lil' clip, on Marketplace of American Public Media. Way to rock Auld Lang!

1/3/2007 10:46AM
The season is over. We're takin a break, but we need to thank all the radio shows, german tv shows, and bloggers out there who prop'd our stuff. We had a great year and are really happy with the newest album. Special thanks to CaptainOT at Christmas Yuleblog. His review is exactly what we like to hear. Hopefully we can pull off another show this year like the one we had at Blakes. Stay tuned if you'd like to see some video from that show. We'll eventually be putting it up on YouTube.
-----------------
12/18/2006 1:13PM
There's some new pictures from the show on the pics page now. Steve's going to be posting the live version of Sack in the next few days!!
-----------------
12/17/2006 9:58AM
Well well well. We had a really great time last night at Blakes. I think you could say that we rokked everyones' balls off. You know, those glass balls you put on your tree. Thank you to all comers, we hope/think you had as much fun as we did. Pics and video clips coming soon. Cross your fingers, we recorded it to pro tools(Thank you Jeff)!! Hopefully there's some keeper tracks. We again send our thanks to Goodbye Gadget. They got us the gig, Ana sang with us, and Pave made for a great puking punk Santa.
I'd encourage you to look over there to the right, we were on German TV! What we lack in skills we make up for in brevity.
-----------------
12/14/2006 8:47PM
The big show is almost upon us. Bay Area people, come out for the one and only show. Details here.
-----------------
12/7/2006 9:28AM
I couldn't sleep last night so I made some new tshirts. We'll... no strike that... Santa'll probably be giving some out at the show. My favorite is now "Tannenbomb."

We were starting to get a little worried, but fear no more. The new album, It's What I Got In My Sack, is now available on Itunes.
-----------------
12/5/2006 11:22AM
Eric pointed out a kids-scared-of-santa photos site. I'm thinking I'd be scared of a one-eyed, pirate, santa too. And this Santa has two red horns. What's going on here?
-----------------
11/30/2006 3:54PM
Several people have been asking where to get our cd's. They are now available at Interpunk. They are also selling last year's album 1225.
-----------------
11/25/2006 10:31PM
The details on the show we are playing can be found on Blake's official site.
-----------------
11/25/2006 10:06PM
Hopefully everyone we know in the US is "sittin fat" after turkey day. We've been in touch with Dr. Christmas, Gerry Grzyb, of the WRST FM in Osh Kosh WI (not this Dr. Christmas). He found us and asked for subbmissions. We, being submissive, sent him some cds and it's looking like we may get some airtime on his huge christmas show!
People have been asking where to get our latest CD and the answer is: you can get it over at interpunk.com. I don't believe the order page is up a this very moment, but sometime in the next week. We'll put up a more specific link in the near future.
-----------------
11/22/2006 8:48AM
Falalalala.com got our new ablum and promptly kicked down a review; on their front page no less! Thanks for the linkage! Fa la la la la, although a challenge to type, has some great old, and formerly vinyl christmas music. Definitely worth a look and a listen.
-----------------
11/19/2006 8:25AM
Up early....must get coffee before I modify my gear before we practice tonight, which is before our one and only show this year. See those little green bits of text over to the right? AOL Music is now carrying "Sack". I didn't link AOL because, quite frankly, their demo clips would sound better over a cell phone held up to an AM radio.
-----------------
11/17/2006 3:15PM
It's What I Got In My Sack got it's first review!!! Do ya think we'd link to it if it was a bad review? What punk would pass up a review full of vitriol? This review is not full of that. Thanks Rich!!
-----------------
11/15/2006 1:04PM
It's What I Got In My Sack is now on Napster! Come on iTunes...
-----------------
11/10/2006 3:10PM
We are dumb: Corrections to the album credits are....
Rodulph = Rudolph
Our apologies to Bill Rudolph, thanks again for pimpin the gear. If it was the red-nosed reindeer we were talking about I'd tell him to go pound snow.
Chanuka = Chanukah
None of us are Jewish and are also clearly not educated enough to know where to look for the correct spelling; sorry.
-----------------
11/8/2006 3:26PM
We forgot to thank Pave of Goodbye Gadget. He's the Santa on our new ablum cover. Speaking of new albums, it's on Rhapsody now. On their new music page, I noticed a treat two albums up. Dave Frizzel's "Water Makes Her Clothes Stay On". Huh?
It's also on eMusic!
-----------------
11/2/2006 8:58AM
If you haven't noticed, our new album art and track list is now on the "audio" page. I put a couple tracks from the new album into the flash player. They are Chanuka and Wassail. Enjoy! "Hell Yeah" to the guest musicians that appear on our album this year they are: Ana Isabel of Goodbye Gadget (formerly Inspect Her Gadget), and Sinestro Enigma & Ward St. courtesy of Ill Genetics. We are really happy with the sounds that they brought to this year's album. We'll keep you posted as to when the distributors pick up the album.
-----------------
10/28/2006 12:33PM
Our guitar player DK has become a poker professional. He just won a tournament that was televised on Fox Sports Net. They did a little bio on DK and the band.

Bumbled across a couple sites which document garrissh displays of American, overwrought, commercialized, christmas joy. Here and here. Perhaps you'll find some inspiration. All the Big Box stores are selling decorations already so get to friggin work.
-----------------
9/22/2006 11:21AM
We've completed recording and are about to finish up mastering. In our case, "mastering" means squashing the bejeezus out of it. Punk Rock Xmas sausages coming up! I noticed that Steve put up, on Myspace, a clip of our planning discussions from last spring. Enjoy!!
-----------------
9/7/2006 1:38PM
Things have been really wild lately. Eric nailed his vox and went back home. Only a few overdubs are left for this years album. In the middle of recording mayhem we got the news that one of our songs, Deck the Halls, was going to be on MTV's show Laguna Beach. Our credits are here!! You'll have to wait a few seconds to be convinced that you need Abreva to remove the 20 cold sores on your face...it's a flash ad.
-----------------
8/11/2006 12:23PM
Some vocals are done now. We had a great time doing vocals for Baby It's Cold Outside, and Santa Baby. Our guest singer Ana, of IHG, was nails. We got lead vox and bg vox done in no time. Thanks Ana, and IHG for sharing the talent.
-----------------
8/9/2006 11:27AM
Basic Guitars are done, we had a blast doing it too. Six different amps, seven guitars, a couple extra cabs... fun fun fun. Vox are next!!! There will be a special guest appearance singer/yeller this year.
-----------------
8/3/2006 8:54AM
Drums and Bass are done. Mucho thanks goes out to Josh and Jeff for helping out with tracking. Josh is well on his way to mastering the art of scrubbing belches. We need to hire Jeff to keep Steve on the clicks. We are doing guitars on Sunday and this year should be fun since Doug, Rico, and maybe DK all have new amps. The new amps are Budda and ENGL and we'll be using Rico's assortment of cabs too!! Rico sent me a blurb from the ENGL site that I really liked: "Turn it on, tell everyone to hold on to something."

Some people have asked why there aren't so many mp3's and samples on our site. Well, basically we can't afford to
pay BMI and ASCAP fees; which are like a yearly subscription. In addition there would be a per download fee we'd have to pay
to the owners/publishers of the songs we do that aren't public domain. I'd guess 10% of our songs are public domain.
We have put up the public domain songs. If you'd like to sample our other songs you can visit the digital distributors
like Itunes. Such is the plight of a band doing songs centered around a commercialized holiday.
Our recording of "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" was on episode 13 of Nip/Tuck's third season.
Have a good holiday season everyone.

We've begun "arranging" the songs for 2004. "Arranging", for us, is essentially
playing horribly, horribly loud, and continuing to do so until the song rocks. At some
point somebody will play something cool so we write it down so our small minds don't
forget.
